Clubfoot
Sites and Support Groups
It takes a village to raise a child, thus a village of
clubfoot sites and support groups to help you raise your child
through the treatment process of correcting this common birth defect.

It is important for new parents to know that they are not alone in this,
even if they'd never  heard of clubfoot prior to the diagnosis of their
own child.  It is estimated that one in a thousand children are born
with clubfoot every year in America alone.  That is the same odds as
cleft palate, which is heard of rather commonly.

All parents, but especially the parents of a child that suffers a birth
defect of some variety need to adopt this mantra:

Knowledge is Power.
Knowledge is King.

If you remember the old Loretta Lynn movie "Coal Miner's Daughter",
there is a certain scene where Loretta tells her husband,
"I may be
ignorant, but I ain't stupid!"

Truer words were never spoken.

You, as the parent of a child with a birth defect are not stupid.
You are as intelligent as any doctor out there - all you suffer is the
very curable disease of ignorance.

Ignorance, by the way, is cured with Knowledge.

Knowledge is Power.  Knowledge is King.

If you are on this website, you are likely the parent or close family
member of a clubfooted child.  I applaud your ambition to seek
information!
I also urge you to look further than this one
website.
Why?  Because I admit I do not have all the answers you
are personally seeking.  Nor do I have the power to convince you to
use the Ponseti Method.

If you look around, you will convince yourself.  That is my mission
here.

Below is a list of Clubfoot web sites and support groups, not all of
them Ponseti Method related.  Again you ask, why?  Because the
information out there related to non-Ponseti Method treatment will
convince you that indeed there is no better way to have your child's
clubfoot condition corrected.

The first group I will list is the group that I must thank for enlightening
me to the fact that there was a better way seven years ago when my
oldest son was suffering the ills of inferior treatment.  My solidarity to
this group and its founder remain, as always, unwaivering.  Hats off
to you and the more than one thousand members that have entered
your doors!
